Mirrored Footsteps
A downloadable game for Windows
In Mirrored Footsteps, you are a daring time traveller tasked with collecting the scattered Time Diamonds across each level. However, due to their instability, each diamond you collect spawns a ghostly copy of your past self that retraces your exact steps. One misstep and touching your past self could break the timeline! Can you outsmart your own mirrored footsteps, or will time unravel before you?
All of the game’s levels were crafted using the powerful yet intuitive Level Editor. Building your own levels is as simple as painting your desired layout and saving it. That will generate a level file and a thumbnail image (the image isn't actually used internally and is completely safe to delete), which you can easily share on the forums here for other players to enjoy.
For an added challenge, activate one or more of the special gameplay modifiers:
- Looping Footsteps: Your past selves won’t just disappear. They loop back to the start of their path when they reach the end, creating an ever-present threat!
- Randomized Footsteps: Shake up the game by randomizing the collection sequence, offering unpredictable and fresh experiences every time.
- Mirrored Footsteps: Instead of progressing normally, each Time Diamond you collect teleports you back to the starting point. Meanwhile, your past self starts a mirrored path, moving from the collected diamond back to the first one. Can you outsmart your reverse-traveling copy?
With a focus on the Level Editor, Mirrored Footsteps is a strategic platformer where you need to plan out your paths while on the move.
